The Fresher Welcome Ceremony for Second Year (first semester) Students majoring in Accounting and Finance, Marketing Management, Applied Statistics, Regional Development and Social Enterprise Management was held at 9:30 a.m on 15th January 2024 at Multipurpose Hall, UCMT. Rector, Dr.Yi Yi Win addressed the welcoming speech and Heads of Departments and Subjects in charge also delivered the welcoming speech to second year (first semester) students.

Then, Rector, Pro-Rectors, Professors and Heads, Associate Heads, Subjects in charge, the officials from Department of Administration and the teachers who teach the second year (first semester) were introduced individually to the students and awarded (5) students who got the highest marks in the related majors and awarded the students who got the prizes in the 76th anniversary of Independence Day Poem and Essay Contest and Impromptu Talk Competition.

After that, Rector and Pro-Rector (Admin) offered Sash to Fresher King and Fresher Queen and Head of Major Departments and Subjects in charge presented sash to People Choice Award Winners in their respective majors. Rector, Pro-Rectors (Admin and Academic), Professors and Heads, Associate Professors, Acting Heads, Subjects in charge, the officials from Department of Administration, subjects teachers who teach the second year (first semester) students and a number of (1000) students attended the ceremony.
