A seminar on “Research Methodology” was held at Multipurpose Hall on 26th December 2024. The Rector, Dr.Yi Yi Win addressed the opening speech that fourth year students should compile their project papers/ thesis papers systematically and accurately according to research methodology and it is essential for supervisors to systematically guide students in reviewing their individual research papers, ensuring that the results are valid, reliable and precise. It was noted that research is crucial for the development of today’s world and businesses without research are unlikely to succeed and will delay. Research leads to the emergence of new products, the discovery of new information and the generation of new ideas across various fields, providing numerous benefits. It is believed that this seminar will provide valuable knowledge about research methodologies to the supervisors and students. Participants who attended were encouraged to ask questions about unclear aspects of research methodologies and to seek information they want to know. The Rector urged the faculty and students to enhance their research and creative outputs, to observe and evaluate research standards. During the seminar, Dr. Khin May Than presented on “Why We Need Research” providing comprehensive insights into research-related topics and attendees asked the questions they wanted to know. The Rector, Pro-Rector (Academic), Heads of Departments and Visiting Professor Dr. Khin May Than, Head (retired), Department of Statistics, Yangon University of Economics, teachers from departments of academic, the fourth year students from specialized subjects approximately (300) people attended this seminar.
