Thanlyin, January 3

    In Commemoration of the 77th Independence Day Sports Competitions and Funfair events (2025) was held on 3rd January 2025 at UCMT. The Rector, Professors and Head, Associated Professors/ Acting Heads, Subjects in charge, teachers, staff and students attended and cheered at the ceremony. There are (5) sport competitions such as in the women’s htoke- see toe, in the men’s and women’s tug-of-war, in the men’s/women’s 100-meter, in the men’s and women’s taking the seat and, in the men’s, and women’s picking up potatoes are included in that competition. 

The Rector, Dr. Yi Yi Win addressed the honorable speech, and she awarded the first and second prize winners of htoke-see toe competition, the three winners of taking the seat competition (teacher, staff, student) and tug-of-war (men). Then, U Kyaw Phone Naing (Chairperson), Sports and Physical Education Committe presented the prizes to the (3) winners in tug of war competition (women), Daw Hnin Moe Hsan (Deputy Chairperson), Sports and Physical Education Committe presented the prizes to the (3) winners in men’s 100-meter competition, U Zaw Moe Aung, Head of the Department of Academic Affairs presented the prizes to the (3) winners in women’s 100-meter competition, Dr. Ohmar Than, Head of the Department of Administration presented the prizes to the (3) winners in picking up potato competition (men), Dr. Aye Aye Maw, Professor and Head, the Department of Myanmar presented the prizes to the (3) winners in picking up potato competition (women) in respective sport events.
