Thanlyin, January 21th

The Debate Competition for 2024-2025 Academic Year was held on 21th January 2025 at 10:00 a.m in Multipurpose Hall, organized by the Department of Myanmar, University of Co-operative and Management, Thanlyin. During the opening speech, the Rector, Dr.Yi Yi Win addressed that the purposes of the competition are to enhance students’ reading, thinking and speaking skills, to foster a spirit of collaboration through participation in university activities and competitions and to develop outstanding individuals with exceptional qualities through shared experiences. The Rector also elaborated on the ten key phrases in Myanmar language and urged the students participated in the competition to use those phrases in their competition. The first prize was awarded to the Pitauk Group, the second prize to the Ingyin Group and the third prize to the Cherry Pan Group, with the consolation prize going to the Kumudra Lotus Group. The Rector, the Pro-Rector (Academic), Heads of Departments, Subject In-Charges, teachers and over (400) students from the University of Co-operative and Management, Thanlyin attended the competition.
