The Rector’s Cup Men’s and Women’s Futsal Tournament was held from 3rd February 2025 to 5th February 2025 at the university Gymnasium. The Rector’s Cup Men’s and Women’s Futsal Tournament featured (12) teams, including the Accounting and Finance Major Team, the Marketing Management Major Team, the Applied Statistics Major Team, the Regional Development Major Team, the Social Enterprise Management Major Team and the First Year Team. The opening ceremony was held in the morning on 3rd February 2025 at the university Gymnasium and the Rector, Dr.Yi Yi Win addressed the opening speech encouraging participants to maintain good spirits, compete with full sportsmanship, and strive to become futsal athletes representing the Ministry, starting from university-level Futsal sportsman. The sports teams recited the four sport oaths and the football teams played according to the scheduled matches. In the afternoon, the closing and the prize awarding ceremony was held on 5th February 2025 at 1:00 p.m, and the Rector, Dr.Yi Yi Win, the Pro-Rector, Daw Myint Myint Sein (Academic), Professors and Heads from the Departments of Administration and teaching, teachers, staff and students attended the ceremony. Then, the Rector, Dr.Yi Yi Win awarded cash prizes and commemorative footballs to the first year team member Mg Kaung Win Hein (PTM-298) and Ma Kyi Kyi Aye (3MM-59) from the Marketing Management team for hat-trick goals. The Social Enterprise Management Major team (Men) and the Marketing Management Major team (Women) who got the first prize were awarded the trophies, cash prizes and individual medals by the Rector, Dr.Yi Yi Win. The Regional Development Major team (Men) who got the second prize was awarded the trophy, cash prizes and individual medals by the Pro-Rector, Daw Myint Myint Sein (Academic), the Regional Development Major team (Women) who got the second prize was awarded the trophy, cash prizes and individual medals by U Kyaw Phone Naing, the Sports and Physical Education Committee Chairperson, the First Year team (Men) who got the third prize was awarded the trophy, cash prizes and individual medals by Daw Hnin Moe Hsan, the Deputy Chairperson of the Sports and Physical Education Committee and the First Year team (Women) who got the third prize was awarded the trophy, cash prizes and individual medals by U Zaw Moe Aung, the Department of the Academic Affairs respectively.
