2024-2025 Academic Year Htamane- Making Competition held at UCMT

The annual traditional Myanmar Htamane-Making Competition of the University of Co-operative and Management, Thanlyin was held on 11th February 2025 at 9:30 a.m at Dakkhina Estate, UCMT. The Rector, Dr.Yi Yi Win addressed the opening speech, the Myanmar traditional Htamane Making Competition was held with the aim of fostering good organizational and collaborative participation in the competition with a spirit of cooperation, individual responsibility and unity between teachers and students. Then, She led the students, teachers and staff in chanting the slogan “UCMT will unite, UCMT will be harmonious, UCMT will succeed” and officially opened the Htamane Making Competition. Six teams competed in the Htamane Making Competition: the “Swal Taw” Team representing the first year, the “Padauk” Team representing the Accounting and Finance major, the “Thazin” Team representing the Marketing Management major, the “Saung Taw Kuu” Team representing the Applied Statistics major, the “Zizawa” Team representing the Regional Development major, and the “Pankankaw” Team representing the Social Enterprise Management major. After that, the Rector, the Pro-Rector (Academic), the Professors, Heads of Departments, and officials to observed and encouraged to the competing teams. The award ceremony then took place, where the Rector, Dr.Yi Yi Win presented the first prize to the “Thazin” Team representing the Marketing Management major. The Pro-Rector, Daw Myint Myint Sein presented the second prize to the “Padauk” Team representing the Accounting and Finance major and Dr.Ohnmar Than, Head of the Department of Administration presented the third prize to the “Saung Taw Kuu” Team representing the Applied Statistics major. The Rector, the Pro-Rector (Academic), Professors, Heads of Departments, teachers, staff and students happily and enthusiastically attended and supported this annual Myanmar traditional Htamane-Making Competition.
